Stereo 77
Stereo 77 (Alejandro Ramirez) is a DJ, producer, crate digger and radio host born 1977 in Puerto Rico.
He began his DJ career in 1998 lining up multiple residencies throughout the Central Florida region, as well as opening and sharing the stage for such acts as Ben Mono, Joey Beats, Ancient Astronauts, DJ Sabo, KidGusto, Diplo, Dam Funk, South Rakkas Crew, Tal M. Klein, Anthony Mansfield, and many more.
By no means a traditionalist, Stereo 77’s productions and DJ sets are a melting pot of multi genre flavors, soaked in Caribbean spices with a heavy dose of dance floor ready Disco and Funk heavy Beats & Breaks!
In 2004 he commenced Filtered Sunshine Radio on WPRK 91.5 FM Rollins College Radio, a two hour weekly program that airs every Monday evening traveling through rare grooves, future frequencies and everything in between.
In the early 2009, Stereo 77 signed with Research Deluxe Recordings for the release of The Jibaro Beat EP in early summer 2010. The Jibaro Beat EP is 5 track collection of classic salsa, cumbia and latin funk inspired grooves. Since then, he has released a total of 3 EP’s with Research Deluxe and will release a 4 track EP with Plimsoll Records in the Fall of 2011.
